About me

I am Ahmedsadik Yusuf a well known Somali journalist and he was born in 1979 in B/wein, Somalia. I graduated at Indian Ocean University in Mogadishu, Somalia in 2005, I joined media field in 200.

In 2003, I became the director of Hiran Journalists Club based in B/wein region of Central Somali-region and I played crucial role during my work for media since I was injured at Bur-abooto near Halgan and Beero-yabaal village in Hiran region in attack the 28th June 2007, the lorry which I was traveling from Beledwein to Mogadishu was cruelly opened fire by gunmen in Bur-abooto area and my right eye damaged seriously after the shrapnel of the bullets and broken glasses of the vehicle penetrated inside and upper of both my eyes and lost two of my front teeth after they had been broken.

Allso worked with Hiran welfare society an organization working with women and child care as well as other minority groups in Somalia and they faced with including female genital multination gender based violence as well as mother-child health care and one of SOJON founders known as NUSOJ and I wrote several and social and environmental articles.

Currently the the director of Hiran Journalists Club and I am member CPJ, International Institute for Environment and Development | policy and ETC.
